PESHAWAR: A light rain that lashed the provincial capital in the afternoon turned the weather pleasant, bringing down temperature that had risen in the last couple of weeks. Though it rained for a short time, it washed away the dust lying on the trees, walls and buildings, especially in the areas alongside the route of under-construction Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.
Fed up with the dusty environment and destructed roads, the residents of the city heaved a sigh of relief as the rain provided them some sort of respite from the dust and polluted environment. There were reports of shower from other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the meteorological department forecast more rain during the next 24 hours.
