LAHORE: An accountability court on Wednesday remanded former chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Asif Hashmi into custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on 15-day physical remand in illegal plots allotment case besides extending his physical remand for another 15-day in illegal investment case.
Earlier, the NAB officials produced Asif Hashmi before Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Azam on expiry of physical remand in illegal investment case.
The investigation officer submitted that the investigations were in progress from the suspect in the case.
He requested the court to extend the physical remand for another 15-day to complete the investigation.He also requested the court for custody of the suspect in illegal plots allotment case.At this, the court remanded Asif Hashmi into custody of NAB on 15-day physical remand in plots case besides extending his physical remand in illegal investment case.
The court directed the officials to produce the accused again on expiryof the remand term.
Meanwhile, another accountability court also remanded Asif Hashmi into custody of NAB on 15-day physical remand inillegal recruitment case.The NAB officials produced Asif Hashmi before Accountability Court Judge Khaqan Babar and requested forcustody of the suspect on physical remand for investigations in illegal recruitment case.
