Bank defamation case : Aqeel Dhedhi, others appear before court

KARACHI: The stock broker Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and other co-accused appeared before the additional district and sessions court in a private bank defamation case on Saturday.
According to the complaint, stock broker Aqeel Karim Dhedi had leveled baseless allegations against private bank in ARY TV channel’s program on December 20, 2013 which damaged the reputation of the private bank and its affiliated institutions.
The complainant bank sought action against the Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and other co-defendants for causing loss to the reputation of the private bank.
The other co-accused including Asad Kharal, Suleman Mirza and Haji Usman Ghani also appeared before the court. The court adjourned the hearing till May 19 on the request of the counsel.
