Margalla Hills fire yet to be extinguished

Islamabad: Sudden fire which erupted on Margalla Hills area near Trail-5 on Thursday morning played havoc with green area on 40 acres of land was not controlled till the last reports came in.
The eruption of fires during summer is seen on various occasions but this time the accidental fire erupted even before the summer sets in. According to CDA officials, the fire which could be seen from roads of the federal capital started on area between villages, Kalinger and Sandoori and engulfed 40 acres area destroying bushes and small trees. The CDA officials said that fire was being controlled through manual efforts of bush beating as it was not possible to take fire fighting vehicles there.
