Siraj suggests Dr AQ Khan name as caretaker PM
SAMBRIAL: Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Senator Sirajul Haq has again suggested the name of atomic scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer (AQ) Khan as caretaker prime minister for the 2018 general elections. Addressing a public meeting here on Sunday, he said the JI had okayed and forwarded the name of Dr AQ Khan for the slot of caretaker prime minister, hoping that all other political parties would also agree with the suggestion. He said there was no denying the fact that Dr Abdul Qadeer was the hero of the Pakistani nation, who made the country a nuclear power. He said his party would play a crucial political role at the platform of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA). He said the MMA’s agenda would be to ensure promotion of Islamic democracy and elimination of Western culture as well. He said the JI would also continue its nation-wide movement to eliminate corruption from the country.
