TOBA TEK SINGH: Sunni Ittehad Council chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza has said that a strike will be observed in Faisalabad on March 18 to condemn the arrest of Sunni Ulema in the province.
Addressing a press conference after a meeting of different Sunni religious organisations here on Sunday, he said that scores of prayer leaders had been arrested or facing cases on the charge of using loudspeaker under the Amplifier Act. If the arrests were not stopped, the protest would be launched across the province, he added.
2 INJURED AS ROOF CAVES IN: Two people were injured when a roof of a cotton factory caved in at Chak 254/GB near Rajana on Sunday.
Tanveer Ahmad and Atta Hussain were standing in a room of the factory when suddenly its roof caved in. As a result, both were injured and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
