Pak economy on positive trajectory: Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD: Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan's economic growth trajectory is moving up after many years and CPEC provides mutual beneficial opportunities of industrial and business cooperation for international investors, industrialist and entrepreneurs.

Addressing corporate breakfast hosted by Pathfinder and Martin Dow groups Sartaj Aziz stated that individuals working in IT should come forward and work to revolution the service and education sectors. He further stated that Pakistan's first participation at WEF in 1992, 12 CEOs became members of forum and all of them dropped but Ikram Sehgal carried the torch and continued efforts dispelling the negative views about Pakistan.

A corporate breakfast was arranged was CEO's club, Pakistan to share the learning of World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Summit 2018 at Davos. At WEF, heads of states, leaders, policymakers, academic, social workers, media personalities get together to discuss and shape global and regional agendas relating to security, environment, media and other issues. Climate change, artificial intelligence, governance, trade and investment were important themes discussed at WEF 2018.

The panelists acknowledged Ikram Sehgal's contribution to represent Pakistan at 48th annual meeting of the WEF, as he had been hosting the Pakistan breakfast for consecutive 17 years. This time it was the biggest event as Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also attended the breakfast.
