Sharifs root cause of defect, alleges Pervaiz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q senior central leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that there is no defect in judiciary, army and parliament, but Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are the root cause of the defect.

After ruling for 22 years, how Shahbaz Sharif is asking all to work in unison, whereas, he was on the forefront of attack on judiciary and was offering meat-filled naans to the attackers, he argued.

Instead of advising the judiciary, army and parliament, Shahbaz Sharif himself should look into his own misdeeds, Pervaiz Elahi said, adding Shahbaz Sharif had spearheaded the attack on the Supreme Court and was asking the attackers on a mike to go after eating the naans.

The PML-Q leader said Nawaz Sharif used offensive language against the judiciary and army in Shahbaz's presence but he did not stop him because it was part of their mutual planning. Talking to a delegation of lawyers at his residence here on Sunday, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said Nawaz Sharif tried to put former Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah into lock-up.

He said Nawaz Sharif conspired against every army chief and ran the parliament like a dictator, but when caught for corruption he recalled democracy. He alleged corruption in 54 companies, embezzlement of billions of rupees in the schemes of laptop, Ashiana Iqbal, Nandipur, Quaid-i-Azam solar project, Tandoor scheme and "Jangla" bus. He was of the view that Rs 2.5 billion corruption had been proved in Sasti Roti scheme. He also alleged that Shahbaz Sharif had destroyed health and education in the province.
