ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that they are hopeful that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will come out victorious from the NAB cases. She said that prosecution witnesses produced before the accountability court in NAB references against Nawaz Sharif and his family members have failed to produce any evidence. She said that honorable judge of the accountability court is also making efforts that the respect should be given to vote.
Talking to media persons outside the Accountability Court in Islamabad on Friday she said the nation itself is witnessing as to what kind of accountability is being carried out against Sharif family. She said that Wajid Zia says he was unaware about the content of the Qatari letter adding that which kind of joke this is and what kind of witnesses and their statements are.
She said the JIT was formed on ridiculous statements and witnesses. She said that the elected prime minister was sent home on the ridiculous witnesses and statements. She said the nation is witnessing what joke is being done and what is being done on the name of the accountability.
She said that so far all the witnesses who appeared before the court could not present any evidence. She said that Wajid Zia brought boxes filled with the evidences and keys are with him but there is nothing in these evidences.
Marriyum said that evidence was collected by a bankrupt company of London against Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. She said that when the whole JIT is based on lies and no evidence could be found then it is a tragedy. She said that a prime minister was ousted on the basis of Iqama adding that till today evidences could not be compiled properly against Nawaz Sharif.
