MANSEHRA: The Frontier Works Organisation has reopened Karakoram Highway to traffic after removing landslides at various places in Upper Kohistan district on Thursday.
The traffic between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan had remained suspended for the last two days after landsliding triggered by heavy rains.
“The Karakoram Highway (KKH), which was blocked at Barseen Nullah and Summer Nullah in limits of Kohistan, is reopened to traffic,” Mohammad Jibran, a passenger told reporters.
The passengers, who remained stranded almost over 24 hours, left for their respective destinations across country after the road was reopened to traffic.
