ZAB’s ideology hanged by PPP in Senate polls: Safdar
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar on Tuesday said martial law regime executed Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) but his ideology was hanged by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman polls.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, Muhammad Safdar said that he always considered Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as a Shaheed but unfortunately Bhutto’s ideology was hanged by Asif Ali Zardari.
ZAB was hanged by Tara Mashi at that time while now it was repeated by Asif Ali Zardari. Muhammad Safdar was confident that the Senate elections would not affect the upcoming general elections.
To a question, Captain Safdar expressed the hope that Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif would run the party affair smoothly as a president. He said that future of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was in safe hands as Shahbaz Sharif would formally become its president.
It is a good omen that Mian Shahbaz Sharif will elect as the president PML-N and he will also carry out the development agenda of the party to the whole country, he added.
