PU clinch inter-university boxing crown
ISLAMABAD: Punjab University (PU) won the All Pakistan Inter-University Boxing Championship which concluded on Friday here at FAST National University, says a press release.
Sindh University grabbed second position while University of Central Punjab stood third.In the 49kg category, Sheroz of Punjab University got first position while Muhammad Sadam of Sind University obtained second position.
Abdul Wali of Punjab University and Arjon Kumar of Sindh University secured first and second positions respectively in the 52kg category competitions.
Results: 60kg: Saif Ali (UCP) first position; Amir Khan (Sindh University) second position.
64kg: Mohibullah (UCP) first; Umeed Khan (BUTIM University) 2nd position.
69kg: Ajmal Khan (PU) first; Ali Haider (Sindh University) second position.
75kg: Shaharyar (PU) first; Taimoor (Peshawar University) second position.
81kg: Hamza Butt (UCP) first; Jahanzaib (Sindh University) 2nd position.
91kg: Ali Murtaza (Superior University) first position; Amir Sohail (Peshawar University) second position.Plus 91kg: Ameer Khan (PU) first; (Iqra University) second position.
