OKARA: A man was axed to death over enmity at 19/1-R village on Wednesday.
Ejaz was on his way when accused Iftikhar, Rehmat Ali and their one accomplice intercepted him and allegedly axed him to death. Sources said that a brother of Ejaz had allegedly murdered the father of Iftikhar. Satghara police have registered a case.
URS: A three-day annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Dawood Bandagi Kirmani (RA) will begin at Shergarh from March 13 (tomorrow).
Devotees from all parts of the country are arriving here to attend the Urs. Meanwhile, the district police have adopted strict security arrangements for the Urs celebrations. DPO Faisal Rana has assigned the security duty to one SP, five DSPs, eight inspectors, 27 SIs, 78 ASIs, 28 head constables, 323 constables and 24 lady constables. The police have installed walk through gates at the shrine to avoid any untoward incident on the occasion.
