Addressing the concluding ceremony of the three-day 10th Annual Nazria Pakistan Conference, President Mamnoon Hussain quite emphatically and rightly stressed on the dire need to put an end to unfair and unjust practices at all levels of our society. The president said that Pakistanis have ample potential to compete and excel in all fields of life. He added that concerted efforts were needed for the nation to progress. There was also a need to overcome minor internal issues and mutual differences. As per the president, Pakistan would have achieved far greater success and more progress had corruption not plagued our society. He said that political stability was important for the country to develop and reach financial independence.

President Mamnoon denied that there was a shortage of manpower. He advised that mistakes should be corrected and our drawbacks should be overcome to achieve a better and brighter future. Furthermore, the president discussed the heroes of Islam and called for giving the Pakistan Movement more space in the academic syllabi of our schools and colleges. He said he had spoken about the proposal with the prime minister and that the curriculum was currently being reviewed and brought in accordance with the national ideology. It is quite commendable to note that the president spoke in detail about such an important subject. It is hoped that efforts will be made to ensure that the curriculum is designed in accordance with the national ideology.
