Islamabad: If the Pakistan Meteorological Department's forecast is to be believed, then March will get off to a rainy start today (Thursday).
The rains, which are likely to continue for two days, will ease the rising daytime temperatures. According to a relevant PMD official, a westerly wave is likely to grip upper parts of the country on Thursday and thus, causing rains across the country.
"Under the influence of this weather system, rain coupled with thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected to fall at scattered places in Islamabad on Thursday and Friday," he said. The weatherman also forecast thundershowers with snowfall over the hills of Murree and Galliyat during the period.
