Man hurls shoe at Ahsan, released after arrest

NAROWAL: A man hurled a shoe at Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal during the PML-N workers' convention here on Saturday.

Bilal Haris stood up from his seat and hurled a shoe as Ahsan arrived on the stage to address the convention in the Aliabad area, which reportedly touched the minister.

However, the party workers grabbed the man, who was later handed over to the police.

After the incident, Ahsan left the stage, but directed the police not to take legal action against the man, officials said. Bilal was subsequently released by the law enforcers.
