PTI issues show-cause notices to own councillors
KARAK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district president Ali Amin Gandapur has issued show-cause notices to nine district councillors including District Nazim Dr Umar Daraz for de-seating party’s naib nazim in the no-trust motion.
The party insiders said here on Friday a few days ago the 9 district councilors of the PTI including District Nazim Dr Umar Daraz Malik Aslam Khan of Shnawa Guddikhel union council, district councilors on reserve seats Haji Waliullah, Dr Arshad Fahim, Faima Niaz, Nazia Noor, Sumaira Noor, Amna Bibi and Ismail Masih had voted in a no-trust motion moved by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl against District Naib Nazim Major (R) Sajjad Barakwal who was de-seated.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan took notice of the issue and directed the district president to issue notices to the disgruntled councillors. Ali Amin Gandapur issued show-case notices to the nine district councillors who had allegedly voted against party’s district naib nazim. They were asked to explain their positions within a week’s time or else unilateral action would be taken against them for violating the party discipline.
