Sale, import of China salt banned
PESHAWAR: Responding to the order by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the provincial government has immediately imposed ban on the sale, manufacturing and import of Agenomoto (China salt).
In this regard, the Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan has issued directives to the administrative heads of all the districts to immediately initiate action against the manufacturing, sale and import of Agenomoto (china salt) in their jurisdiction.
It further said that a three-day campaign in this regard should be carried out in each corner of the province, ensuring the removal of the said salt from the market as well as creating awareness in the society about the said issue.
The chief secretary also instructed the Additional Chief Secretary Fata to carry out a similar campaign in all the tribal regions through political agents.
