Rawalpindi: The Excise and Taxation (E&T) Department Rawalpindi has collected Rs.2.873 billion against set target of Rs.4.631 billion revenue including property tax, motor registration tax, professional taxes, excise fee and entertainment duties till February 2018.
The Excise and Taxation (E&T) Secretary, Ahmed Bilal has strongly appreciated on collection of 62 per cent revenue tax in Rawalpindi division. According to Excise and Taxation (Rawalpindi Region), provincial government had fixed Rs4.63 billion revenue target for Rawalpindi division including Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal and Attock districts for 2017-18.
Director Excise and Taxation (E&T), Rawalpindi Region Tanveer Abbas Gondal told ‘The News’ that overall 62 per cent target has been achieved till February 2018. He appreciated efforts of the staff to continue the ongoing campaign against tax defaulters. “Rawalpindi is in no. 1 in top five Excise and Taxation Offices (ETOs),” he claimed.
According to Excise and Taxation (E&T) Department Rawalpindi, they have recovered Rs1.074 billion against set target of Rs1.682 billion with 64 per cent revenue collection in property tax till February 2018.
E&T Department has recovered Rs672.9 million against set target of Rs123.7 million with 54 per cent revenue collection in motor registration tax. It has recovered Rs41.8 million against set target of Rs96.4 million with 43 per cent revenue collection in professional tax till February 2018.
Excise and Taxation (E&T) Department has recovered Rs1.080 billion against set target of Rs1.499 billion with 72 per cent revenue collection in excise fee and has recovered Rs3.6 million against set target of Rs5.3 million with 49 per cent revenue collection in entertainment tax till February 2018.
