Two dacoits killed by citizen during dacoity

TOBA TEK SINGH: Two dacoits were killed when a man opened fire at them during a dacoity incident at Gojra on Sunday night.

Three dacoits entered the house of Imran at Nishatabad, Gojra, and snatched cash, ornaments and mobile phones. In the meantime, Imran took out his pistol and opened fire at the dacoits. As a result, two dacoits were killed on the spot. The third dacoit also opened fire at Imran but luckily he remained safe. However, due to the dacoit’s indiscriminate firing, a passerby, identified as Adnan, was injured. Police have started investigation.

Farmers hold demo against NHA: Farmers of Rajana staged a demonstration at under-construction Lahore-Karachi motorway over delay in their compensation payment by the National Highway Authority (NHA).

They told that they had to destroy their crops when their lands were acquired for the construction of Rajana interchange. They added that they were promised payment by Feb 15 but they have yet not been paid. They warned of taking out a protest rally to Toba in case of non-payment.
