Justice Wajih demands forensic evidenceof billion tree project
ISLAMABAD: Former PTI senior leader and chairman Aam Log Party Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed has said there is no forensic evidence of planting over a billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to The News, Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed said this project needed to be audited and the KP government should provide forensic evidence of the Billion Tree Tsunami project.
When asked what specific evidence Justice Wajih had on the basis of which he had given statement on social media that he could destroy Imran Khan and his party, he said he would not go into detail. However he said he gave this statement to a question of PTI follower that Imran Khan should have started a campaign against him. Earlier in a series of tweets, the former PTI leader while responding to queries of his followers on social networking website said, “Imran Khan is a good salesman but politics isn’t a trade.” He said he had been continuously saying that there was no forensic evidence of billion trees in KP and now that cat was out of the bag.
“I have all along been saying that there was no forensic evidence of planting over a billion trees in KP. Now the cat is out of the bag: only 240 million planted, rest is juggling. Unsurprisingly, it’s a shady exercise. IK, good salesman but Siasat ain’t Tijarat”, tweeted Justice (R) Wajih. One of PTI followers commented on Justice Wajih’s social media post that to him even 240 million trees was a lot. According to this PTI follower they are with Imran Khan and he (Justice Wajih) should not try to be so cynical.
Justice Wajih said, “This is not about how many trees are planted but the question is whether they are less than one fourth of that claimed.” “The question is not whether 240 million trees are a “lot” or otherwise. Question is whether they are less than one fourth of that claimed. Less they are, whatever your blind love for IK & the rest makes you believe. Probably you are a young zealot & have a long way to go. Take care!” said justice Wajih in his tweet. In another tweet Justice (R) Wajih said there was nothing against him that Imran Khan would start a campaign against him on the other hand he had a plenty to destroy both Imran Khan and his PTI. “What was there against me that Imran could have started a campaign against me? On the contrary I know plenty to destroy both Imran & PTI. Don’t push me lad!” Justice (R) Wajih tweeted while responding to a question of PTI follower.
