Junior tennis qualifiers begin tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The executive committee of Islamabad Tennis Association (ITA) met on Thursday to review arrangements for the Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships starting with the qualifying round tomorrow (Saturday).
ITA President Tariq Mehmood Murtaza chaired the meeting, which was attended by Tournament Director Muhammad Khalil Chughtai, ITF Supervisor Muhammad Arif Qureshi and Hameedul Haq, who gets a new role as chief coordinator media.
The qualifying matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday, whereas the
main draw will start on February 19.International players from USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Turkey, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and Iran have already confirmed their participation and would start reachingIslamabad from Friday afternoon.
