RAWALPINDI: In continuation of the ongoing bilateral security cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, a Pakistan Army contingent is being sent to the KSA on a “training and advisory mission”, said a press release issued by the ISPR on Thursday.
“These or troops already there will not be employed outside Saudi Arabia. Pak Army maintains bilateral security cooperation with many other GCC/ regional countries,” the press release clarified.
The press release came after Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki’s meeting with Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa at the GHQ. “The matters of mutual interest, including regional security situation, were discussed during the meeting," an earlier press release by the ISPR added.
