CAS Open tees off at Airmen Golf Course
KARACHI: Pakistan’s top players are featuring in the 37th CAS Open Golf championship which teed off here at the Airmen Golf Course on Wednesday.
The Championship will be played for five days and 18 holes will be played daily.Air Commodore Ibrahim Asad, Base Commander PAF Base Korangi Creek, inaugurated the Championship on Thursday morning.
Around 350 golfers, including 76 Professionals are participating in the championship from all over the country for a lucrative prize purse of Rs eight million. The players would also be vying for two brand new cars (Toyota Corolla and Suzuki Swift) which have been put on offer for the players who score Hole-in one.
Matches in the category of Professionals, Senior/ Junior Professionals, Amateurs, Airmen Golf Course Members, Ladies, Veterans and Invitees will also be played during the championship. Ace golfer Muhammad Munir will be defending his crown in what is counted among the most prestigious events on the national golf circuit.
