Plan to lure PML-N people into other parties: Abid
FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said there is a plan to lure PML-N people into other parties.
Addressing a ceremony held on the completion of development projects at Sitara Colony here on Saturday, he alleged that the alliance of Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed and their friends was an alliance of robbers who gathered against ex-PM Nawaz Sharif. He said people should criticise Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed and their group for cursing the parliament and then seeking votes from people too. He said only Nawaz Sharif was being held accountable and not others. He alleged that Jahangir Tareen got land of poor people on lease and later set up a sugar mill on it. The Punjab government should take notice of it, he said and added that one-sided accountability of Nawaz Sharif was not acceptable to the nation. The nation rejected disqualification and accountability of Nawaz Sharif. No one could erase Nawaz Sharif from the hearts of people. He said unprecedented public participation in Nawaz Sharif’s public meetings from Khyber to Karachi showed that people loved Nawaz Sharif.
He said people still considered Nawaz their PM. It was strange that Asif Zardari was being considered clean and Nawaz being held accountable, he concluded.
