Six-year-old girl raped in Swabi, accused arrested
SWABI: A-six-year old-girl was raped in Yar Hussain village, police officials said on Thursday.
When contacted, District Police Officer Sohail Khalid said that the victim girl, whose mother had died, told her father about the unfortunate incident. The poor father of the girl, identified as Gul Panra, reached Yar Hussain Police Station and apprised the officials about the incident.
The girl told the police that Salman, who according to the police is about 17-year old, was allegedly involved in the rape of the girl.
“She narrated her ordeal and the police arrested Salman soon after registering the first information report (FIR),” said the official.
The DPO added that later the medical test of the girl was conducted and it was confirmed that she had been raped.
However, the police officials said that the medical test of the boy was yet to be conducted. “We will conduct the medical test of the accused today,” said an official.Meanwhile, the accused Salman said that he was not involved in the heinous act.
The incident has shaken Swabi district and the people belonging to different walks of life are demanding that the accused should be awarded exemplary punishment.
Our correspondent ion Mansehra adds: A man killed his mother, sister-in-law and her alleged paramour in Batara Union Council of newly-notified Kolai-Palas district on Thursday.
Imam Shah, according to police, first killed Aurangzeb in fields and then went to his home and opened fire on his sister-in-law. “His mother came to rescue her daughter-in-law but both sustained bullet wounds and died instantly,” said an official.
The suspect who managed to flee after fire, according to police official, suspected his sister-in-law had illicit relations with Aurangzeb.
Batara police after lodging first information report (FIR) started raids to arrest the suspect.
Kolai-Palas is a newly notified district, which has been carved out from Kohistan where killings in the name of honour are much higher as compared to any other district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Also, in the day Kifayatuallh killed Saeed Khan in Dubair area of Lower Kohistan over a land dispute.
Our correspondent in Mardan adds: The police claimed to have arrested a person for allegedly trying to slaughter a five years old child in the limits of Hoti Police Station.
A press statement issued by district police officer (DPO) office said that Hazrat Mohammad, a resident of Gulibagh, reported to the Hoti police station that his five years old son Faizan was going to Madrassa when he went missing.
The police recovered the child in an injured condition in Kalu Khan village and shifted him to hospital.
The police claimed to have arrested the accused identified as Naveed, a resident of Gulibagh currently living at Rashaki.
The police added that the arrested accused had confessed to committing the crime and also helped in recovering the tool used for slaughtering the child. The motive behind the slaughtering the child is said to be an old enmity.
