PESHAWAR: The second group of the Army Public School (APS), Peshawar, students flew to China for an educational-cum-recreational tour as part of rehabilitation programme on Thursday night.
During the 10-day visit, the students accompanied by parents and teachers would visit major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Gongzhour and Hong Kong and see historical sites.Before their departure to China, the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad arranged a reception for the students, their parents and teachers.
Speaking on the occasion, Maj-Gen Qi Huajun, Naval and Military attaché at Chinese Embassy, said that Pakistan and China were time-tested friends.The people in China were deeply aggrieved after the terrorist attack and loss of innocent lives, he said, adding that the visit was aimed at expressing the resolve of Chinese people that they would stand by their Pakistani brethren through thick and thin. The first group of the APS students after their visit to China had returned to Peshawar, last week.
