One killed, two injured in cylinder explosion

LAHORE: A vendor was died while two kids were injured when a gas cylinder, used to fill up balloons, exploded in Shahdra police limits on Wednesday.

Police removed the body to morgue. The victim was identified as Khalil. Police said Khalil was filling a balloon when cylinder exploded. As a result, he died on the spot while two minors Sultan, and Aozjan, were injuried.

accidents: A total of 835 road accidents were reported in the Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue0-1122) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. They highlighted the impact of abuse on the children and the role teachers can play in sensitising and raising awareness on self-protection. “Protection and monitoring are essential tools for positive growth of children.

Teaching children on how to protect themselves in different situations helps to empower them and make them responsible individuals,” said Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Dr Nizamuddin.
