Capital SSP orders crackdown against proclaimed offenders
Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Najeebur Rehman Bugvi Wednesday ordered heads of all police stations to ensure arrest of proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crime till March 3. On his directions to Superintendent of Police (Investigation), all Zonal Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers and Station House Officers, he said that arrest of criminals involved in heinous crimes should be ensured.
The SSP said those involved in crimes of kidnapping, kidnapping for ransom, dacoities and murders should be arrested at earliest. He said that all SPs would monitor the efforts to arrest such criminals.
He said that performance of all police officials would be reviewed on March 3, and those involved in sluggish policing would had to face action. The SSP also directed to ensure effective patrolling system in the city to curb crime. He said that it was the prime responsibility of police officials to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens and no sluggish attitude in this regard would be tolerated.
