ASI among four ‘kidnappers’ arrested

Four suspected kidnappers, including an ASI, were arrested by the Surjani police on Friday.
Surjani SHO Naveed Nasir said the four men had abducted a contractor, Tayyab, in Rizvia and demanded Rs4 million for his release.
They released him after receiving Rs0.5 million. However, the kidnappers had started demanding more money from the contractor, compelling him to approach the police.
The SHO said they had conducted a raid in Surjani and arrested ASI Shah Faisal, who was posted in SITE, and his accomplice Moalim Shah, who used to identify himself as an official of an intelligence agency. Later, their two accomplices, Shafiullah and Habibullah, were also rounded up.
