Mushahid meets Nawaz, joins PML-N
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed on Sunday joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after parting ways with his party, the PML-Q.
Mushahid Hussain Sayed called on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Jati Umra, Lahore, and announced his decision of joining the PML-N. He vowed to work with Nawaz Sharif for strengthening of democracy in the country.
A spokesman for Mushahid Hussain Sayed said that he had sent his resignation (from basic membership of PML-Q) to PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Mushahid, who heads the Senate Standing Committee on Defence, is considered as an expert in the fields of defence and foreign affairs, as well as a strong advocate of Pakistan-China relations.
