Fakhar Shah elected new PFB president

LAHORE: Syed Fakhar Ali Shah was on Sunday elected as new president of Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB).

The emergent general council meeting of Pakistan Federation Baseball was held on Sunday at Bahria Town, Lahore under the chairmanship of Shaukat Javed, Chairman PFB. Members attended the meeting are Abdul Majeed (PSB Observer), Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, Sh Mazhar Ahmed, Miss Ayesha Zulfiqar (Punjab), Haider Khan Lehri, Miss Sidra Ashraf (Baluchistan), Wisal Muhammad, Khalid Khan, Miss Zaime Khalid (KP), M Mohsin Khan, Daniyal Mujeeb, Miss Shahneel Babar Awan (Sindh), Tahir Mehmood, Syeda Umm-e-Rubab (Islamabad), M Jamil Kamran (Umpiring Association), Mussadiq Hanif (Coaching Association), Miss Sadia Alvi, Miss Sara Fatima, Miss Kanwal Aslam, Miss Nabila Alvi (Women Members), Tariq Nadeem (Police) and Kamran Mehboob (Army).

The meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Shaukat Javed informed the house about the agenda of the meeting.Fatiha for late Syed Khawar Shah was offered. The house unanimously elected Syed Fakhar Ali Shah as President and Sh Mazhar Ahmad as Secretary General of the Federation. The house unanimously approved that Syed Khawar Shah National Baseball Championship will be held in the last week of February 2018 in Lahore. During the Championship, players will be selected for National Training Camp of Pakistan Team for the participation in 18th Asian Games 2018 Indonesia.

The house unanimously approved that Pakistan Youth Baseball Teams (U-12 & U-18) will participate in Youth Asian Baseball Championships 2018. Shaukat Javed suggested that federation will focus on youth (U-12) Baseball players in future.
