PPP supports Fata-KP merger: Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Former president and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said it the party supports merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chairing a meeting of the PPP KP here at the Zardari House, the PPP co-chairman said the writ of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) should be extended to Fata as soon as possible. The current political situation of KP was discussed in detail in the meeting.
Zardari was briefed on bad governance in KP. The former President directed the party office bearers to extend all help to the family of innocent child Asma who was sexually abused and killed in Mardan.
President of the PPP women’s wing Faryal Talpur, Senator Farhatullah Babar, PPP KP president Humayun Khan and general secretary for KP Faisal Karim Kundi were also present on the occasion.
