NAB receives records in graft case against Capt Safdar
MANSEHRA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team on Tuesday received the records from the Communication and Works Department (C&W) in connection with the alleged embezzlement of Rs2 billion by Member National Assembly Mohammad Safdar in development schemes.
The NAB team, which had started an inquiry against Mohammad Safdar, the son-in-law of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif last week, received records of development schemes executed in NA-21 since general elections of 2013. Sources in the NAB confirmed that Captain Safdar had been facing an inquiry of embezzlement and kickbacks of Rs2 billion and the team, stationed in Oghi, visited development schemes in entire constituency stretched in Mansehra and Torghar districts. The team physically verified roads, streets, and water and sanitation schemes in the entire constituency.
