Cold weather to continue, says Met

LAHORE: Met officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is still present over northeastern parts of Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and the adjoining areas. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country while fog is likely to prevail in a few plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during the morning hours. Rainfall was recorded in Lahore, 1mm, Kasur, trace, Jaccobabad, trace and Quetta trace. Tuesday’s lowest temperature was recorded at Skardu where mercury dropped to -10°C.
