Zeeshan, Bukhari in Malaysian Tour Leg II main round
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Zeeshan Khan and Ali Bukhari qualified for the main round of Malaysian Tour Leg II at Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday.
In the first qualifying round, Zeeshan defeated Mohammad Ezzri of Malaysia 11-7, 11-9, 11-9 and then beat Jong Myoung from Korea 8-11, 11-5, 11-8, 12-10 in 43 minutes in the final qualifying round.
Ali beat David Pelino of Philippines 11-9, 3-11, 11-8, 11-7 in the first qualifying round and then beat Robert Andrew of Philippines 12-14, 11-7, 11-8, 11-6 in 48 minutes in the final qualifying round.
Ali will face second seed Addeen Idrakie of Malaysia and Zeeshan is up against fifth seed Azlan Amjad of Qatar. Seventh seed Asim Khan is to play against Chang Wook-Woo of Hong Kong and Zahir Shah is to face eighth seed Umair Zaman of Qatar in the main round. Asim won the Leg I of this $5000 championship.
