ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly (NA) continued to feel consequences of Imran Khan’s outburst against the Parliament as proceedings of the Lower House were adjourned due to lack of quorum without executing any business.
The PTI parliamentarian Dr Shireen Mazari pointed out lack of quorum after she was not allowed to speak on a point of order following recitation from the Holy Quran and Naat Khawani. The Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq asked the PTI member that House should run as per agenda but Dr Mazari insisted that she might be given the floor. She said her party colleagues wanted to speak on Friday also but they were not given the opportunity.
The Speaker said he would give time to members after the question hour was over. But the PTI member insisted to speak and then pointed out lack of quorum. On resumption of proceedings after the break, the chair adjourned the House finding that was not in order.
