Everybody respects parliament
January 23, 2018
In a political gathering in Lahore on Wednesday (Jan 17), Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed cursed parliament. Their distasteful remarks were met with severe criticism. Many people have expressed that Khan, who is a political leader and is respected by a large number of people, should not have used such words for a state institution of which he is a member. Parliamentarians also condemned the two politicians’ hateful words.
Parliament is a supreme and respectful institution. Instead of openly criticising the institution, parliamentarians and politicians must focus on working for the betterment of the country and the welfare of its people.
