‘SBP taking all mweasures to promote hockey’
LAHORE: “Sports Board Punjab (SBP) is taking every possible measure for the promotion of hockey in the province,” Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said this while talking to media prior to hockey match between Pakistan and World XI at National Hockey Stadium on Sunday.
Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan also witnessed exciting hockey match and praised the performance of world hockey stars. In his media talk, Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said: “25 astro-turfs are also being laid in several cities of province. Punjab govt, under the vision of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, is making sufficient efforts to build a top level sorts infrastructure in the province. Dozens of sports gymnasiums, cricket grounds, playfields and sports complexes are being constructed in all major cities of Punjab”.
Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said that the tour of hockey World XI is a positive sign for the future of sports in Pakistan. “The talented young players of Pakistan will get a great inspiration from top hockey stars of the world,” he added.
