Baloch for implementing Islamic laws
LAHORE: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said an alarming increase in crime against children reflects evil is growing in society and its solution lies in following Islamic values and laws.
Addressing a central advisory body of JI at Mansoora, Liaqat Baloch said unfortunately the link of society with Islamic social and cultural norms had weakened giving rise to crimes. He said colonial-era rules and regulations had proved to be destructive and added Shariah laws and supremacy of Quran and Sunnah could guarantee protection of life, honour and property of citizens. Deploring police failure to arrest the killers of minor girl in Kasur, Liaqat Baloch said it was a big tragedy.
Meanwhile, the JI secretary general visited the family of renowned writer Munno Bhai and expressed his condolences with the members of the bereaved family.
