KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Friday that after the resumption of international cricket and hockey competitions in the country, the government would support the authorities of other sports too. Speaking to reporters before the match between Pakistan and World XI at Edhi Stadium here, he said peace had been restored in Karachi through the joint efforts of police and Rangers.He further said that Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) would be provided whatever assistance it needed for organising the Pakistan Hockey League (PHL). He said the government would ensure security for matches of PSL in Lahore and Karachi. He said foreign players of all sports would be provided foolproof security in the country.
