Mechatronics

Mechatronics (electromechanical systems) is the generic name given to technologies that control machines by using electric technology and electronics. Unfortunately, except for a few universities and one or two polytechnic institutes, it is not a very common degree or diploma.
There is an increase in demand for young men and women trained in mechatronics, especially in European countries and Japan whose population is declining. Mechatronics can prove to be a source of livelihood and earning of foreign exchange for thousands of Pakistanis who otherwise remain jobless. Polytechnics can play a major role in training young people in the field of mechatronics.
