Toothless tiger

People are baffled by the government’s endless merry-go-round with terrorism, extremism, law and order situation, target killings and support to the armed forces in the war against the Taliban.
Sadly, nothing concrete came out of the All Parties Conference (APC) held soon after the Army Public School massacre. Except when it comes to their collective vested interests, our political parties never unite on anything else. Forced by circumstances, the government drew up the National Action Plan. But becoming frustrated with the government’s lethargic inertia and inaction, there was an attempt at province-wise implementation of the NAP; what an exercise in sheer futility this initiative has been. This ineptness of the PML-N dispensation will also impact negatively on the progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
