PESHAWAR: President of Muttahida Travel Association (MTA), Mardan, Rehmat Gul has lauded the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for arresting an officer of its own department and appealed the court to take back the money taken from different travel agencies.
Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Thursday, he alleged that Assistant Director, FIA, Shahid Ilyas, had raided the travel agencies in Mardan district and Malakand division without any reason and complaints. The FIA officer, he alleged, had arrested the owners of travel agencies and businessmen just for blackmailing. “After arresting them, he demanded for money from them,” he alleged.
