BAHRAIN: Pakistan’s Ambassador Javed Malik met with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and discussed the growing bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
The foreign minister appreciated the valuable efforts by Ambassador Javed Malik in consolidating and expanding the diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between both the countries. Sheikh Khalid Al Khalifa said Bahrain highly values its strong brotherly relations with Pakistan.
While recalling his recent visit to Pakistan in which he co-chaired the First Pakistan Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission, the foreign minister said the upgradation of our diplomatic ties to the ministerial level is a major step and it highlights the significance that both the countries attach to their relations. It may be noted that the Joint Ministerial Commission, was followed by the first Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference for which Bahrain’s commerce Minister Zayed R. Alzayani had led a large government and business delegation to Pakistan in March 2017.
While thanking the foreign minister for his support, Ambassador Javed Malik said it is a matter of great satisfaction that the vision of the top leadership of both the countries has been executed in line with the understanding reached between the King of Bahrain and the Prime Minister of Pakistan during their meeting in Bahrain in 2015.
Javed Malik said Pakistan offers tremendous opportunities of business, trade and investment for Bahraini and Gulf based businessmen and expressed the confidence that the economic ties between both countries will be enhanced.
