Housed inside the central prison, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday accepted interim bail of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) senior leader Rauf Siddiqui in the Balida factory fire case. The bail was granted in the sum of Rs100,000.
Siddiqui has been declared a co-accused in the Balida factory fire case along with Abdul Rehman alias Rehman Bhola, Zubair alias Charya, Hammad Siddiqui and others. The court has now fixed January 27 as the next date of hearing in this case. The court also directed Siddiqui to record his statement before the investigation officer. The court while entertaining an application filed by Rangers prosecutor Sajid Mehboob Shaikh passed orders last week to include Siddiqui as a co-accused in the Baldia factory fire case.
