U-19 Cricket: Third successive win for Bahawalpur
BAHAWALPUR: DCA Bahawalpur secured third consecutive victory in PCB Under-19 Inter- District Cricket Championship when they defeated Pakpattan by 1 run at the Dring Stadium here on Wednesday. Bahawalpur’s promising left-arm pacer Abdul Basit restricted the Pakpattan team to achieve the victory. Pakpattan needed 7 runs in last over but were out for 174 in reply to Bahawalpur’s 175. Addul Basit secured four wickets in the match and enhanced his tally of wickets to 10 in three matches. Earlier Bahawalpur’s Zulqarnain Munir, Ali Imran and Muhammad Abdullah scored 34 runs each. Khaqan Bashir took 3 wickets and Mubabshir Razzaq and Ali Afzaal took 2 wickets each for Pakpattan. Furrukh Mukhtar scored unbeaten 63 for Pakpattan. In an earlier match Bahawalpur had beaten Muzaffargarh and Layyah in this Under-19 championship.
