Woman killed as rickshaw overturns

OKARA: A woman was killed and four others injured when their rickshaw turned turtle here. On late Tuesday night, a rickshaw was going towards Gogera when it suddenly turned turtle due to over-speeding. Five aboard were injured. They were rushed to the hospital where Fakhra Bibi succumbed to injuries.

KIDNAPPED, RELEASED: An elderly man was kidnapped for ransom and released afterwards. On Tuesday, Hafiz Abdur Razzaq was present at Bismillah rice mills when suddenly M Hanif came along with few armed men and kidnapped him at gunpoint. He carried him to village Kharak Singh and demanded Rs 10 million for his release. Hanif got information that police were searching for the abductee. He took Hafiz in the car and left him on the road.
