Two militants killed in two drone strikes
PARACHINAR: Two militants were killed and a third sustained injuries in two separate US drone strikes in Kurram Agency along the border with Afghanistan, tribal sources said on Wednesday.
The sources said that the first drone strike was carried out in Badshah Kot area in lower Kurram Agency near the border with Afghanistan where the unmanned aerial vehicle fired a missile and struck a house.
Eyewitness said that an alleged Afghan militant identified as Khalid sustained serious injuries in the attack.
An alleged militants' hideout in Khani Killay was targeted in the second attack by a US drone in the border area. The sources said two militants were killed in the strike. However, the identity of the slain militants could not be ascertained.
It may be mentioned that US drones were seen hovering over the border areas in Kurram Agency throughout the day.
