Human rights award to be given to UIPM, Cleft Hospital
Islamabad: Ministry of Human Rights is going to bestow ‘Human Rights Award’ upon Universal Interfaith Peace Mission (UIPM), Islamabad, the gold medallist organisation of World Interfaith Harmony Week and Cleft Hospital, Gujarat, for their services in their respective fields here today (Wednesday), says a press release.
Federal Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmad Tarar, Ambassador of European Union
delegation to Pakistan, Jean Francois Cautain, Ambassador of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Nawaf Khalifah Sararieh, ulema, scholars from various religions are likely to attend the ceremony.
The Human Rights Award has been bestowed upon UIPM Chairman Dr Allama GR Chishti for his services in field of interfaith harmony and his work for rights of minorities in Pakistan as well as his efforts for promoting peace, love and brotherhood in society.
While, Dr Ijaz Bashir, Chief Executive Officer, Cleft Hospital Pakistan has been bestowed with the award for cleft palate patients which results in feeding problems, speech problems, hearing problems, and frequent ear infections among children.
